We’ve got an amazing team of receptionists working to support attorneys and their clients – and we’d like you to meet some of them! Joshua is a Legal Services Associate, dedicated to handling incoming calls for law firms. We caught up with him between calls to find out what a day in his life looks like.

A day in the life
Joshua starts at 7am most days – the early shifts let him balance work with his own projects. The day passes quickly – taking calls as they come in for our legal clients. For some, it’s taking messages while the attorneys are busy. For others, he can talk callers through the client’s intake process and note down detailed information about the legal support they need. “I love being able to help others. One thing I really enjoy about LEX is being able to help the clients and their callers with our service. We can be their heroes when lawyers aren’t available.”
When he’s not on calls, Joshua will talk with his team. As everyone at LEX works from home, communication is really important to us. He uses the LEX desktop and mobile app to reach out to colleagues and leads. Joshua can check updates, ask questions, and share learning. “Every single person has shown me the utmost respect and has been extremely helpful,” he says. “Especially my team leads, they go above and beyond to encourage us and support us.”
Time for your passions
Work is only one of the important things in Joshua’s life. After working at LEX, he can focus on his other passions: music and his family. Working on his music takes time, and in the evening, his work-from-home office becomes a music studio for him to produce his music. “I make sure my office space is as clean as it can be,” he says. “Having no clutter means stay focused without distractions, whether I’m taking calls or producing music.”
This hard work certainly pays off. Joshua was picked up by a record label, Bass Rebels, to release his music. “I get messages from people saying that my music gave them hope or helped them through hard times. I just love helping people: through my listening at LEX or through them listening to my music.”

Staying connected
Even when you’re as busy as Joshua, you make time for the people you care about most. “I love seeing my family, and being able to spend as much time with them as possible is extremely important to me.”
